Welcoming a new baby is a joyous occasion, and it’s always fun to share in the happiness of a new mom and dad as we capture precious moments they’ll cherish forever. Baby Alexandra rests peacefully in her mom and dad’s arms, and she’s so comfortable, you can even see a tiny smile on her precious little face.
Alexandra (Ali for short) is swaddled snuggly in a neutral wrap that shows off her adorable baby cheeks and soft tufts of hair. The smiles on this young family’s faces tell us all we need to know…there’s a whole lot of love surrounding this tiny newborn girl.
A CHERISHED MOMENT BETWEEN MOM & DAUGHTER
This photo reflects the absolute depth of a mother’s love. She carried her right under her heart and nurtured her for so many months, and now she gets to hold her in her arms. Holding baby Ali cheek-to-cheek, her mom Erin gently hugs her close in a dreamy pose.
Monochromatic neutrals add chic style to this mom-and-daughter portrait, and Erin’s dark hair adds gorgeous contrast that helps them both stand apart from the background. I love how mom serenely snuggles sweet Ali close to her heart in this image…exactly where this adorable little one belongs.
A GENTLE KISS FROM HER FIERCEST PROTECTOR
Snoozing soundly in her daddy’s arms, newborn Ali doesn’t have a care in the world. She’s so tiny she fits perfectly in the crook of dad’s arm, allowing for this poignant pose. A loving kiss on the forehead from dad is the sweetest way to show the entire world that this little girl will always have a strong protector in her corner.
The neutral color palette the family chose allowed for a few pops of their favorite colors. Dad’s blue polo shirt is perfect in this photo, and it adds a handsome pop of color that draws the focus to the center of the image.
SNEAKING A SWEET SNUGGLE ON A SOFT & FURRY RUG
Cozied up next to mom on the softest, furriest rug is a pretty comfortable place to rest, and precious little Ali is dreaming the dreams of angels as Erin holds her near. With both mom and daughter dressed in tones of white, this photo is as lovely as it is peaceful. It’s just so beautiful to be able to capture those earliest mom-and-daughter moments and see how that special bond begins to form. I’m sure this is a memory mom will hold in her heart forever.
SLEEPING BABY PRINCESS SURROUNDED BY FLOWERS
Isn’t tiny Ali just beautiful sleeping soundly in this soft and furry bundle? She’s such a pretty baby girl, and mom and dad wanted to be sure we included all the feminine touches when we planned her newborn photo shoot.
From flowers to lace to pearls…and all the girlie finishing touches you can imagine…baby Ali was princess for a day. Here, she’s dreaming the day away while tucked cozily into the tiniest nest surrounded by pink, white, and purple flower blooms. Her perfect little look is topped off with a delicate white headband accented with pearls for an added feminine touch.
TINY GIRL…GREAT BIG DREAMS
Just look at those darling little cheeks and that tiny button nose! Newborn Ali couldn’t be more perfect if she tried. Close-up photos like this one are a great opportunity to show all of baby’s perfect features and zoom in on the tiniest of details like eyelashes, hair, and facial features. ADORABLE BABY GIRL FINDS HER EARS & TOES
Oh, the joy of exploring and learning! It’s so much fun to capture the look of wonder and curiosity on a new little one’s face when they’re making new discoveries. Sweet Ali is having a ball as she tries to figure out what these new and fascinating things are!
Adorably posed in a soft muslin nest, this busy girl gives a curious glance while she wiggles her cute baby toes and tugs on her ear. Notice how we stuck with a neutral palette throughout the session so Ali was the star of the show and the center of attention in every image.
And what a great shot of those baby blues…Ali’s beautiful eyes are already melting hearts and making everyone fall in love!
SWEET EXHAUSTION…A SNOOZE ON THE SOFTEST PILLOW
All that discovering and learning can wear a girl out, but that’s ok…sweet dreams, little girl. We’re all sure you’ll move mountains one of these days!
Draped in a loose pink wrap that’s left to billow behind her, little Ali curls into a snuggly ball with her precious hands tucked beneath her cheek. With just a wrap and a delicate pearl-accented headband, the focus is all on her soft and perfect features. Just look at those darling little toes curled up for some sleepytime rest.
This little princess is perfect in every way, and as she grows and learns and develops her own little personality, these precious first images will be a reminder of those very first days…the days of the softest hair, the smoothest skin, and the loveliest baby dreams. SOFT BABY SKIN & PERFECT BABY WRINKLES
Ali rested so comfortably throughout her photo shoot that I thought she might hang out with me for the entire day—and I had so much fun with this new family that would have been fine with me! During the time I spent with this young family, it was clear this little one is their pride and joy and the absolute light of their lives.
In this photo, little Ali rests adorably on her tummy, showing off a round baby cheek and the cutest baby wrinkles you’ve ever seen! All those tiny wrinkles and rolls, the chubby baby cheeks, and wispy hair…those are all things she’ll grow out of, and I’m so glad I was able to help her loving parents capture them in photos so they’ll have these memories forever.
