This lovely family is full of love and joy, and mom and dad wanted to commemorate this special time in their lives by scheduling a professional photo session to capture all the moments they love. Mom and dad lead busy lives as University of Florida professors, and even though their calendar is super-full, they recognize the importance of capturing keepsake moments of their daughters as they grow up.

BIG SISTER WITH A BEAUTIFUL SMILE
Looking so grown-up, big sister Ella perches on a decorative wooden stool that’s just the right size. At five years old, Ella is excited about being a big sis to little Nora, and she can’t wait to show her the ropes!
Dressed in a beautiful light blue lace dress with dressy white shoes, Ella looks every bit the little lady that she is! She’s even wearing a flower in her hair for a fun and feminine look. This is the perfect milestone to capture in a professional portrait collection, because it’s a perfect reminder of those days when sweet Nora was babbling and saying “mama” and “dada,” too!

When I first talked to mom and dad about styling the girls’ professional session, they told me they were looking for photos that captured the joy and love their family is feeling right now. With two little girls who are the apples of their eye, they couldn’t be prouder, and they worked with me to plan a collection of photos they’ll be proud to share with friends and family.
These two sisters look absolutely adorable seated together in their coordinating dresses on a tiny white wooden bench. It’s so sweet that 5-year-old Ella has her arm wrapped around her baby sister as they pose and smile for the camera, just like she’s holding onto her very own little doll. Precious Nora looks content to babble, grin, and wiggle in her big sis’s protective arms as they grin at me. It’s pretty clear these two will be besties for life, so it was really important to capture their connection at this early age in photos.

ONE YEAR OLD…EXPLORING TEXTURES & SURROUNDINGS
In her birthday suit for her one-year portraits, little Nora explores her new surroundings with curious, bright eyes. As she reaches out for a handful of furry throw, she flashes the camera a pensive look. In this photo, you can see just how small her tiny hands are, and she’s so adorable as she reaches out to grasp things around her and discover brand-new sites and textures.
ON THE MOVE IN HER BIRTHDAY SUIT
And she’s off! Cute-as-can-be Nora has figured out the trick of getting around from place to place, and as she crawls across the soft, plush surface, she has a look of pure joy on her face. Her eyes simply twinkle as she sets her sights on playing and discovering all the fun things that are now within arms’ reach!
Wearing only a feminine white bow in her curly hair, Nora shows us just how expressive she can be, too. Just look at that little tongue sticking out in excitement as she happily explores. This is another one of those moments that is fleeting as this little one continues to grow, and it’s so special that her parents now have a fine art photo to help them remember one of her most adorable expressions.

Haha, the one of her crawling!!!! That is absolutely perfect! I love how you create both traditional portraits and fun candid photos all in one session. This baby girl had an amazing one year old session with her family, and I know Mom loves every single picture!
It takes some effort to get an entire family to the studio. When they are able to do so, we take the opportunity to get individual photos of the children, sibling photos, and a family portrait that represents the year with mom and dad.
