Aaron and Elijah visit regularly to have their photos taken as they grow and learn new things, and I was so happy to see them before the holidays! Their photos are absolutely precious, and I know their family members will have some wonderful keepsake gifts headed their way this year.
It’s easy to get busy and let milestone photos go by the wayside, but it’s so important to schedule portrait sessions for your little ones because pictures taken now will end up sparking tomorrow’s memories. We all think we’ll remember every sweet moment and smile, but time flies, kids grow up, and those baby and toddler expressions turn into older-kid traits. When you have professional photos taken of your kids, you’re giving yourself the gift of mementos that will last a lifetime.
Mom even got in on the fun and had her photo taken with her boys. It was a spontaneous moment, and she hadn’t planned to be photographed, but what a great way to create a special memory with Aaron and Elijah…and remind them what a fun-loving and caring mom they have!
CREATE LOVING PHOTO MEMORIES WITH YOUR KIDS
Aaron and Elijah will always be able to look back and remember special moments with their mom when they see these photos. Just look at the natural and relaxed smiles on all their faces! Usually, moms are the ones planning to have photos taken of their kids, and that’s why I love it when parents hop into photos, too! Years later, everyone will be able to look back on the fun and meaningful experience they all shared together.
When you book with the Andrea Sollenberger Studio, it’s important to know your session is much more than a few poses and smiles. It’s a chance to have fun, let your true personalities shine, and create beautiful memories you’ll cherish forever. The studio experience is set up for my clients’ comfort and enjoyment, and that means lots of laughter, time together with your kids, and a no-stress way to create beautiful keepsake photos. You’ll enjoy a comfortable, climate-controlled area that’s stocked with tons of props and accessories to help make your session perfect. Plus, there’s even a parent lounge with snacks and drinks, so you can relax and enjoy every moment of the experience!
BABY AARON…SHOWING OFF HIS GROWING BIG-BOY SKILLS
Milestone photos begin with newborn photos, and many parents choose to schedule 3-month, 6-month, 9-month, and 1-year photos to capture all the ways baby is changing. From smiling and babbling to sitting and moving around, your baby learns so much during those first few months, and it’s heartwarming to be able to look back at photos and remember every single stage.
Little Aaron is adorable in his “birthday-suit” pictures as he sits bare-bottomed on the fluffiest, softest white throw. He’s showing off his expressiveness with such a handsome smile, and he shows just how much he’s grown by sitting up all by himself! A handsome head full of red hair tops off his ginger complexion for a sweet portrait that’s full of little-boy charm.
TUMMY TIME…GETTING READY TO CRAWL
Baby Aaron looks ready to take off on adventures as he spends some comfy time on his tummy for this shot! His excited expression and exploring little hands convey his curiosity for everything around him. He’s at the perfect age for photos that show off all his brand-new skills—and soon-to-be skills—like crawling, rolling, and expressing his emotions. When mom looks back on these sweet photos in the years to come, they’ll bring back all the wonderful learning and exploring moments he had at this age!
WHAT’S IMPORTANT FOR MILESTONE PHOTOS?
When you’re planning milestone photos, it’s important to remember that your baby will guide the timing. For example, while most people choose to take photos at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months, if you’re baby’s not quite ready to sit on his own at the 6-month stage, it’s ok to wait a few weeks so we can capture every important moment in portraits! Likewise, if your baby is taking off and ready to walk before the 1-year mark, let’s schedule a session. Remember, it’s all about YOUR little one and their personal milestones!
SO MANY EXPRESSIONS
Baby Aaron is at the perfect age to show off his fun little personality! And fun is the name of the game at every session for so many reasons. I want you to enjoy every single moment of your little one’s session, and that means no stress, no worrying…just relaxing and going with the flow. Your baby can sense how much fun we’re having, and it will encourage them to join in and show off all their new expressions, silly faces, and giggles in their photos.
There’s so much to remember about adorable Aaron’s first months of growing and learning, and in this photo, he pulls a silly face and sticks his tongue out while sharing a giggle. As he runs his fingers through the fuzzy throw he’s sitting on, his twinkling eyes show all the excitement he has for learning new things and exploring. Photos like this one are the ones you’ll cherish as your little one grows from baby to toddler to frolicking youngster!
BIG BROTHER ELIJAH…HANDSOME YOUNG MAN
Mom had Elijah accompany his little brother for this milestone photo session so she could have lifelong keepsakes to look back on and see both of her boys growing and developing their own personalities. Elijah looks every bit the dapper schoolboy dressed in joggers, a cardigan sweater, and super-stylish checked Vans.
A big kid now, he sits on a wooden stool and flashes the brightest, most delightful smile at the camera! When their photos are on display, mom is sure to beam with pride at her two handsome young men.
A SWEET MOMENT BETWEEN BROTHERS
Love and adoration are apparent on both their little faces as these brothers pose together for this charming photo. While little Aaron holds a plush stuffie on his lap and places a hand on Elijah’s knee, big brother crosses his legs criss-cross-applesauce and soaks up all the big brother vibes.
With a pretty tone-on-tone backdrop, these two brothers are the stars of the show! Their stylish and coordinated outfits stand out against the white setting, making this the perfect portrait to display in any room of the house.
PROTECTIVE & PLAYFUL…OPTIONS FOR SIBLING POSES
What a great big brother! Elijah is fully embracing his role as protector, playmate, and big brother, and you can see his love for little Aaron absolutely shine in this photo. Their coordinating outfits are adorable, and as they sit together on a tiny wooden bed, big brother Elijah holds baby Aaron securely for a shared smiling moment.
BIG-TIME GRINS AT PLAYTIME
Playtime is when big personalities shine! For my clients who are old enough, I love to pull out toys and activities for them so they can get some hands-on fun. Plus, when they’re busy having a blast, even the littlest clients let their true expressions shine!
As a parent, you can rest assured that every surface at my studio is cleaned and sanitized between clients, so when you arrive with your precious little ones, you’ll know they’re in the safest environment. My clients always get a warm and cozy studio filled with toys and adorable props that will turn their photos into one-of-a-kind creative images.

Thank you Michelle. These two fellows were a lot of fun to work with and play with! When play is at the center of childrens photos we are sure to get great expressions and true joy. And a hint of personality in boy pictures sure is a pretty nice bonus for this session. I appreciate your feedback!

These are wonderful milestone and family photos. You made the boys’ personalities come alive!
Andrea Sollenberger says
Hi there Kacie! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment. We knew that Mom wanted to be sure to document the boys photos with their adorable stages and expressions. Having the chance in studio to pop Mom into the mix for a boys and mom pile on photo was as much fun to make as it was a winn-winn perfect candid moment preserved for this family!
Brandi says
I love that you captured photos with mom in them too! Some of my favorite photos of my two boys are their milestone pictures. Their personalities and likes change so fast, it’s fun to look back and remember all the details now that they are getting older.
Andrea Sollenberger says
I am glad you loved these photos Brandi. It seems that Moms often do not get into photos because they are the ones behind the camera trying their best to catch childhood moments in photos as they happen. It only took a suggestion for this Mom to agree and it doubled the fun that we had during the session to make fun mom and boys pictures. It also doubles their memories made in photos! Thanks for your helpful feedback!

So glad mom got into the picture with her boys and their clothes are perfectly coordinated. Love that Andrea poses children with toys and props. You can see in the pictures how excited the boys are to play with their toys. Everyone looks relaxed and happy in the pictures. Great family treasures for generations to enjoy.
Andrea Sollenberger says
Very often Mom or Dad will have a vision of what they think they would like to see for their childrens photos. I am glad to incorporate the ideas and even the props of my clients to make their images unique and special. This toy set up was Mom’s idea and she gets all the credit. And she was right that they would make amazing brother photos for her to enjoy!
Susan says
My favorite treasures are memories made with my family.. These photos are priceless. Spontaneity is the best, and moms willingness to participate was a smart choice. Not only will she enjoy them, but the boys will cherish them for years to come.
I also love the variety of poses with the brothers together and alone. What a nice wall grouping they would make.
Awesome work Andrea, your creative eye is quite noticed.

Susie-It is good to hear your reaction to the whole set of photos, including the individual boys photos. Being posed alone is a chance for parents, and later for the child himself, to enjoy and marvel at the personal identity each human being owns. I hope these photos help the boys value their uniqueness when they view photos highlighting them as individuals in the future.
