With their chubby cheeks, smiling eyes, and shy grin,
Theo and John were the center of attention for their family’s fall photo session.
Mom worked in advance to coordinate outfits and schedules,
but when it was time for photos Mom and Dad were just along for the ride!
We met at a park with some shade and an open field,
giving Theo and John a safe place to be active and to just “be themselves”.
Having twins is not an easy task.
Posing them for portraits is also a bit of a trick.
So, it’s important to find activities that are exciting, interesting and active!
Keeping them interested is the key to getting them to show you their personalities
and their emotions.
This fun family session was filled with playful times,
favorite family activities, lots of laughter,
and the genuine joy of being together,
even with two very shy little boys.
To me, a good family portrait captures genuine emotion,
a connection between family members and the love that they share.
A mother’s unwavering love for a son, and a son’s satisfied smile,
a proud dad with his two little men,
boys that are playmates and best friends,
the bright eyes and happy grin of a toddler whose parents adore him,
these are moments worth capturing..
Walking side by side, sitting shoulder to shoulder,
running away from their parents!!,
and everything that involves “doing life together”.
That’s family life.
Years from now, these little ones will look back
and know how much they were loved from the start.
I’m glad they got a 20 x 30 canvas gallery wrap to decorate their living room wall.
Mom and Dad and Theo and Jon will each pass by this portrait dozens
or even hundreds of times over the years.
And with each glance, they will etch into their memories
the emotion and the thrills of these two year old memories.
