It was so good to see this wonderful and loving family as they brought their newborn daughter for a professional photo session in my studio. The Kacy family is so much fun, and with their tiny new addition, dad is seriously outnumbered! This is a family full of girls, so there’s sure to be plenty of giggles and antics as they grow up together. Their new little one joins three sisters (a set of twins and another sister, too) to round out this sweet family.
DADDY’S GIRL…MOMMY’S WORLD
There’s so much love in the two photos below that I wanted to show them side by side so everyone gets to see just how much mom and dad adore their new little girl!
Mom cradles baby close and poses for a cheek-to-cheek photo with her tiny princess, and dad holds her firmly in his arms and gazes at her with so much love in his heart. The family decided to coordinate their outfits so their photos would all look amazing together AND look great in any room of the house.
FAMILY IS EVERYTHING
When everyone heard a brand-new baby would be there soon, there were squeals of delight! And with the whole family gathered in, it’s easy to see the joy on all their faces. And now that there’s another girl in the house, everyone is over the moon.
Mom had so much fun picking out the girls’ matching dresses for their photo session. All three older girls wore matching floral dresses that add the prettiest pop of color to their photos. I love the way all the girls’ gorgeous dark hair stands out in every photo, too. What a beautiful family photo that shows everyone’s happy faces as they celebrate the arrival of their sweet baby girl.
COZY & COMFY WITH THE SOFTEST BLANKETS
All tucked into a mini baby bed that’s covered in soft, plush blankets, the family’s new little girl shares a dreamy half smile as she wakes up during her session. Swaddled snugly in an ivory wrap and wearing a sweet hat with tulle trim, baby rests on top of a wooly coverlet that’s comfy enough to nap on all day!
We kept the sweet, girly styling going by adding a pastel pink rug layered underneath the baby bed. Everything about this picture says happy, sweet, comfy baby girl!
I love this family’s natural, organic approach to life and to their portrait styling. They are so easygoing and caring, too, and that is reflected in all of their portraits.
PRETTIEST FLOWER IN THE GARDEN
For this close-up shot, we changed up this tiny girl’s look simply by adding a pretty pink floral headband. With eyes wide open and showing off her tiny fingers peeking out from her swaddle, it’s easy to say this little one is the apple of the entire family’s eye!
When their little one is scooting, toddling, and climbing, it will be so much fun to be able to look back at those earliest days and remember the tiniest fingers, her rosy round cheeks, and her precious, curious expression.
PRECIOUS IN PINK & PEARLS
Mom and dad loved the idea of a photo session that included all things natural, organic…and of course, PINK! Happily snuggled in her swaddle, this little one flashes a grin that will melt your heart.
For this photo, we layered neutral tones of ivory, white, and cream together with a pastel pink blanket covered in tiny white pearls. The result is the sweetest photo of their new little girl looking happy and secure in a white-washed, vintage-style wooden basket.
This is another example of changing up a few little things to get different looks…all without disturbing baby. By changing her headband and the layers that surround her, we get a precious, girly look that fits right into mom and dad’s natural styling preferences.
THE SWEETEST LITTLE SMILE
Oh boy, this little girl is going to melt hearts with that smile! This close-up portrait of her sweet face shows all of her features at her tiniest.
With a house full of girls and plenty to do, mom and dad know that even though it may seem tough to squeeze in a professional portrait session, it’s so very important. Time is fleeting, and their little one will grow right before their eyes, so it’s a gift to be able to look back at those earliest expressions.
WHO RUNS THE WORLD? GIRLS!
And in the Kacy family, that’s a pretty true statement. Of course, dad is there to be the cornerstone as all their girls grow and learn.
Sweet baby AJ arrived with a built-in fan club, too. To put it mildly, the addition of a newborn was a pretty big affair for this beautiful family. It had been a few years since they’d had an infant in the house, and everyone waited excitedly for her arrival.
With three big sisters waiting to teach her the ropes, there are a whole lot of escapades and tons of fun in the future for this family! The girls’ smiles say it all..they are ready to take on big-sisterhood like pros. It’s so sweet to see the way they carefully hold their new baby sister in their arms.
I can’t imagine how much pride and love mom and dad feel when they look at this lovely photo. It is perfect for displaying anywhere in the house, and I know friends and family will cherish this image of the four sisters together.
