Can’t afford professional newborn photography? It’s worth checking to see if you can find a newborn photographer whose work you really admire and who also has some affordable packages. Skipping newborn photos altogether may be something you regret after it’s too late. It is an experience that lives on.
For those new moms and dads who are working with a tight budget but still know they want precious photos of their baby, mini sessions are sometimes offered by photographers.
At Andrea Sollenberger Photography Mini Newborn sessions are available for Just Baby, or with an upgrade that also includes portraits with mom and dad. Mini sessions are perfect for those who still want professional newborn photography with us but cannot afford our full session. Add on images to mini sessions are available for purchase if parents want to buy even a few more images. These studio newborn mini sessions are of the same photographic quality and editing, and with the same selection of studio props, as our 3 hour Full Newborn Sessions. The difference is that mini sessions occur within a shorter timeframe, include a limited number of poses, and therefore they offer affordable pricing to clients who love our work.
Alana and Ronald scheduled a Mini Newborn Session With Parents for their brand new baby Ayani. In their 1.5 hour session we captured these photos of their newfound affection for their beautiful new girl.
They had chosen to add on to their Mini With Parents Newborn Session and buy a larger selection that includes more photos of baby Ayani, more angles of her tiny features, and extra glimpses of their gorgeous girl.
Seizing the moment that you have with your newborn now, and getting photos before they change too much, will provide you with opportunities to ponder these special moments over and over again, over time. Best time for newborn photos is within their first two weeks of life. The newness of baby’s tiny size is gone in just a few short weeks.
And the emotional bond that shows your special connection with your newborn wonder is truly magic from Day One.
It is my honor and joy to create beautiful images of your perfect newborn babies. I would love to capture each stage of your little one’s growth starting with their youngest days, so that your family can treasure these photos for years to come.
If you know someone who is expecting and might be interested in newborn sessions and mini sessions, share this blog article with them! And feel free to ask questions about our session in the comments below.

I appreciate your supportive words Angela. There’s nothing that makes me happier than being able to capture this innocent and tender stage for moms and dads to cherish again when it is long gone.

Beautiful work, your work is absolutely stunning and super helpful tips on how to get newborn photos in an affordable way I wish I had that option when my little one was a newborn.
Andrea Sollenberger says
Oh Seraphine, you don’t know how much I also wish there had been a way for me to get beautiful photos of my own four little babies when they were tiny. I tried, but I failed miserably. Twenty years later it has become my mission and I am still passionate about making it possible for other parents.

Thanks so much Becky. I believe you are right. And I am sure that even this little baby Ayani will be amazed by how much her mom and dad loved her from the very beginning.
