Have you stopped to soak in the fact that having a newborn gives to a mom the immeasurable gift of fulfillment? When we grow up we learn to be independent. We are commended for personal achievements. And we strive to be an individual.
Then motherhood rolls along, and a mom realizes that there is a longing within her to go somewhere she has not been. To be depended upon. To be appreciated for something new. Something big. To be needed in a way that she had not known was possible. Something reserved only for her. For now. The gift of being a mom.
Babies bring with their dependence a chance for mom to love bigger and deeper. And babies fill up places we did not know were longing to get filled.
Every mom feels this. It is the power of maternal love.
Mom cried real tears of gratitude during her session as she remembered the very first time her baby Chase was placed in her arms. I love that we captured these real, authentic moments, and she cherishes the memory of this time that we made, too.
Every time she looks back and sees these photos, she will remember the heart that got filled up when she held her babies.
Of course she cried when she came back to the studio to see her whole gallery of photos, as many moms do when they see their baby as a newborn again. Moms and Dads are always touched by how much their little baby has grown in just 1-2 short weeks since the newborn photo session. And they are grateful to have these photographs of the earliest days with their tiny new family member.
Nicole is a mom with a passion for her family and her story. She came to visit the studio with a purpose to check out my style, see my selection of studio props and get to know me long before her tiny baby was born.
Newborn photos and family photos for her home was her goal, and we discovered that we were a good fit for each other.
We had a wonderful time photographing the whole little family. Dad was able to come and bring their son Jesse for dad photos and family photos.
Since Nicole wanted to capture sibling photos of her older son Jesse with his new little brother Chase, we made sure to do that at the top of the session. This was Jesse and Dad could leave before boredom set in.
These days we get caught up in the mundane things of life. For moms these ordinary duties are housekeeping, laundry, baths, making meals, each being endless and thankless, and worrying about whether your children are getting every single thing that they need.
Then there are the amazing feelings which round out all of the mundane, which help you remember that these little miracles that you brought into the world actually give to you a gift- the gift of fulfillment. A space you did not even know existed before your little baby were born. Before you had tasted how sweet being a mom is. And suddenly you now see the world a different way. A fuller way. Through the needs of your babies.
It is an amazing gift to give parents images of their perfect newborn babies before they start to change so fast. I would love to capture each stage of your little one’s growth from their very youngest days, so that your family can treasure these photos and relive this fulfilling time for years to come.

So darling! The one with his little smile!!!
Andrea Sollenberger says
We were lucky enough to be ready with camera when that smile came. Sometimes we get lots of long smiles; sometimes there are few and they are brief. Glad to capture them regardless. A smile always bring on another smile, especially when it’s from a baby. Thanks Katelyn!

I love your newborn styling. Neutral colours with a pop of complimentary colour! You can see why your clients love their photos so much!
Andrea Sollenberger says
Thanks Allison! Choosing colors can be one of the most important decisions for newborn session styles. It’s important to me to hear clearly from every mom (or dad!) what colors they want to be surrounded by in their own home! This is where session palnning all begins, and it helps us at the ordering appointment when parents are purchasing photo products to see that their images match their own home decor! Appreciate your input!

These little beauties are my daughter and her boys, so I’ll admit to significant bias, but I really must share the joy and amazement we experienced watching Andrea work and the images speak for themselves. Andrea uses her baby-whispering talent and lets the littles set the pace. She’s also the ultimate professional, patient until the perfect shot is achieved and personalizing the sessions so that mommies are comfortable. I have worked with thousands of photographers in my career and can tell you that Andrea creates perfection!
Andrea Sollenberger says
It is so good to hear from you, Sherri. Your presence at the session was the ultimate in support for Nicole, and I enjoyed meeting you! It is truly my joy to capture these glimpses into the life of Chase in his earliest days. I am blessed to be able to whisper and settle, pose and photograph each and every baby that comes into the studio. Thank you for your kind words and your tremendous support! Your recommendation is valuable and I appreciate it greatly!
