Welcome, Sweet Claire | A New Baby Girl for the Whole Family to Love

Baby Claire is here, and the family is on cloud nine! The whole crew—mom, dad, big sister, big brother and grandma—was here at the Andrea Sollenberger Studio to celebrate Claire’s arrival with a newborn photo session to preserve all their special memories in professional portraits they can display around their homes and enjoy. It’s always so much fun to help families create special photo memories, and I was thrilled to work with mom and dad to design the perfect portrait collection for them.

There is always a lot of love and excitement present during a newborn photo session, and those are exactly the emotions I want to capture in forever images. Sweet Claire had so many adorable expressions, cute outfit changes, and fun poses that her family is sure to look back on her precious newborn photos with affection for years to come.

WELCOMING CLAIRE TO THE FAMILY

Baby number three for the family, was born into quite the fan club! With mom, dad, a big brother, and a big sister to love and protect her, she’s got it made in the shade.

The family loved the idea of popping outside to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and the lush grounds where the studio is located. Fresh-air photos have a way of reminding us how connected we are with nature, and they add just a bit of enchantment to already-magical moments. They are also a great way to add an entirely different look to your photo collection.

Sitting under a large shade tree on a picnic blanket, mom holds baby Claire as big sister looks on, and dad holds big brother who is adorably grinning at the camera. What a great family photo…and a great keepsake to share with friends and loved ones to help welcome the new little addition to the family.

A MOM’S EMBRACE

There’s nothing sweeter or more comforting than a mother’s embrace, and baby Claire is soaking it all in below in the gorgeous photo with her mama. It’s so special to be able to capture the bonding and love that’s clearly visible on mom’s face as she gazes lovingly at her newborn daughter while she holds her. Mom looks so serene and lovely, and little Claire is calm and content to rest in the security of her arms.

Both mom and baby Claire are dressed in creamy white with textured, lacy patterns against a neutral beige background, and of course, precious Claire models a pretty flower headband to complete her lacy swaddle, adding a delicate, feminine touch to this portrait. There’s nothing quite like the bond between a daddy and his little girl, and that is oh-so-evident in this heartwarming photo of Claire’s dad placing a tender kiss on her forehead as he holds her gently in the crook of his arm. In this sweet moment, you can see all the promises he’s making to her. He’ll be her protector, confidante, cheerleader, friend…and daddy…forever and ever.

These are the unforgettable moments I want families to be able to remember, no matter how much little Claire grows or how much time passes by. She’ll only be this tiny for a little while, but this special moment shared between a dad and his new little girl is one that should be preserved in a keepsake portrait for the family to enjoy for years to come.

SIBLING LOVE SHINES…PROUD BIG BROTHER & SISTER

It didn’t take long for big brother and big sis to fall in love with their new baby sister! You can see the pride and adoration in their eyes as they gently lay by her side and cradle her while she sleeps. There’s such a sweet innocence to sibling love, and it’s so beautiful to see these three little ones bonding so quickly with their tiny baby sister.

Mom and dad chose a beautiful color palette for this photo, too. With big brother in a handsome chambray denim blue button-down shirt and big sister in a pastel pink dress with lace trim and a coordinating headband, they are all dressed up for the occasion! In a dainty coordinating headband, Claire lays swaddled in a lacy wrap.

The cute trio lays on a soft, textured throw that adds furry dimension and texture to the photo…plus it adds a plush layer of softness for the smallest clients to lay on and be completely safe and secure.

BUTTERFLY KISSES FROM BIG SISTER

Sisters share a bond that’s like no other, and it comes naturally to baby Claire’s big sister. In this charming image, a doting big sis leans over her new baby sister to bestow a doting kiss on her cheek. Big sister is pretty in pink and wears a headband similar to Claire’s, making this precious pair the prettiest little springtime flowers in the garden! A tiny pastel pink pillow provides safety and support for Claire’s little head and adds the perfect finishing detail to this darling portrait that everyone is sure to love!

A SPECIAL MOMENT WITH GRANDMA

Newborn portraits are timeless and a great way to remember the adoration and love that was present when baby first arrived, and there’s something truly special when family members are able to join in and be part of the celebration. I love that grandma was able to be a part of Claire’s newborn photo session and be part of the memory making that went into creating the family’s portrait collection.

This nurturing grandma is absolutely beaming as she gathers her three grandbabies close for snuggles. Gently cuddling baby Claire and hugging big brother and sister at her sides, she is the picture of happiness in this family portrait. Photos like this one are a great way to pass on the family legacy and beautiful memories, and they are a lovely reminder of the special place grandparents hold in our hearts.

CAPTURING SMILES IN NEWBORN PHOTOS

Oh, the joy in a newborn smile! They aren’t easy to catch during a scheduled photo session, but when they’re caught on camera, they are a treasure. Newborn babies are just about the most perfect thing in the world, and when they smile, it melts your heart!

Here, dreaming the day away and wrapped in pastel pink, tiny Claire flashes an adorable grin, complete with chubby baby cheeks and a perfect little face. This is such a pretty close-up of her face, and it shows all of her tiny features in great detail, so it will be a great way to remember exactly how she looked when she was so very little.

A LIFETIME OF PRECIOUS MOMENTS

Capturing every little detail of baby’s expressions and features during those first few weeks is so important because time goes by so quickly after baby comes home. Professional portraits are the perfect way to capture all the boundless love you’re feeling for baby, as well as create cherished keepsakes for you and the family.

In this photo, Claire sleeps soundly on a tiny brass bed that’s the perfect size for her. Resting on her tummy on layers of creamy off-white blankets that are soft, fluffy and oh-so-comfy, she’s likely dreaming of fun adventures that are soon to come. Wearing an adorable one-piece romper with lacy sleeves and a pretty flower headband, her tiny feet and hands are easy to see in this timeless and beautiful portrait.

THE SWEETEST LITTLE DETAILS

Baby Claire flashed us another beautiful smile while swaddled in a textured lacy wrap with her head resting on a soft and fluffy pink knit blanket. With her eyes wide open, she curiously takes a look at the great-big world around her. Her rosy cheeks, tiny features, and dark hair are darling, and a pink flower in her hair adds a pretty feminine touch.

All of the details, like layers of textures, colors, lighting, props, color combinations and more, come together to make up a single artistic portrait that will become a treasured family heirloom. Loved ones will forever be able to remember those precious early weeks with tiny Claire—even as she starts to grow up, move around, and learn about the world around her.
