Welcoming a Sweet Newborn Daughter All Dressed in Pink

It’s easy to see how smitten Karina and Santiago are with their newborn baby daughter, Naleah Rose. For months, they waited to welcome their precious little addition to the family, and once she finally arrived, it was important to Karina and Santiago to capture memories of those first early days in a photo collection that will warm their hearts forever.

In this photo with all three of them together, mom and dad’s expressions convey all the love that’s been building for this tiny little girl for so many months. I love it when I can capture such tenderness and care in family photos! This one shows off dad’s love and protective nature as he holds his baby daughter tightly in his arms. Wrapped in a lovely textured white swaddle and wearing a coordinating headband adorned with the tiniest pearls, baby Naleah looks peaceful and serene as she rests in her daddy’s strong arms.

This sweet girl is even giving everyone a peek at her gorgeous eyes as she looks at all the new things to see and explore. You probably already know that newborn babies spend a large percentage of their time asleep, so whenever I am able to get pictures of them awake and showing off their eyes, I consider it a bonus!

THE SWEETEST SNUGGLES WITH MOM

Mom’s pretty smile and sparkling eyes say it all…she’s smitten with this tiny little bundle of love! It’s so sweet the way Karina snuggles her little one cheek-to-cheek as she shows her off to the camera.

You can really see the joy and love in mom’s face as she holds her precious daughter close to her heart. With a hand sweetly cupped on her little cheek, it’s easy to see how Karina’s love envelops her daughter.

NESTLED IN A WREATH OF FLOWERS

Celebrating their firstborn baby girl, mom and dad wanted to shower her with all things feminine and pink. Here, sweet Naleah is nestled in the center of a lovely floral wreath that features dainty pink and white blooms and creative whisps of greenery. To celebrate the name they chose for their baby—Naleah Rose—mom and dad specifically requested roses for her newborn photo session.

Surrounded by beautiful flowers and nestled into the softest blankets, little Naleah rests comfortably in a shaped bowl that’s perfect for keeping her comfy and snuggly. She’s wrapped in the softest pink swaddle and lies atop another soft blanket in darker pink, creating a beautiful chromatic look that’s perfect for their sweet little girl.

OH, THE DREAMS SHE’LL DREAM

A close-up shows off Naleah’s peaceful expression as she snoozes right through her session. I love getting close-up shots that show off all the tiniest details…like the texture of the floral wreath, the softest weave of the knit blanket beneath her, and the most adorable baby cheeks and Cupid’s bow mouth!

This pastel pink swaddle shows off exactly how tiny their little one is, and mom and dad will be able to look back on this photo in years to come and remember her tiniest, sweetest first days.

SLEEPING BEAUTY SURROUNDED BY FLOWERS

When I first met with mom and dad, they told me they were looking for a session full of Easter egg pink, milky white, and muted green. We topped all that off with feminine accents like wreaths full of flowers, plush blankets, lace, and pearls to create a beautiful professional session that perfectly represented their new little girl and all the love they feel in their hearts.

Once Karina and Santiago told me what they were looking for in their little one’s photo session, they sat back and trusted my creative artistry to deliver a photo collection they would fall in love with. They were absolutely fabulous to work with and were full of great ideas, too! Trusting me to weave their ideas into a lovely portrait collection, mom and dad let me work a little magic with props, outfits, and accessories that complemented their vision. In the end, they loved every photo so much that their home is now decorated in beautiful, artistic images of their new baby girl.

In the photo below, a dreamy Naleah rests on a tiny brass baby bed that’s covered in layered mauve and pastel pink blankets that add texture and depth to this sweet photo. With large blooms bursting by her side, this little one looks like the most precious flower in the garden!

Full of pastel pink, this photo uses light and shadow to create a pretty texture and backdrop for this tiny princess. With the most delicate pearl and flower accents to highlight the scene, little Naleah sleeps on a soft and comfortable surface.
