When you are taking pictures of someone you know quite well, you may get giddy with excitement, or reminiscent of the past, or dreamy of the things yet to come. I guess you might feel a whole gamut of emotions.
This past week we took engagement pictures of Tabitha and Ryan. And giddy, reminiscent and dreamy we were! I have known these two since they were very, very small. I actually met Ryan’s mom in a church nursery before he was even born, and we have spent years raising all of our babies, celebrating family festivities and holidays, and homeschooling our lively students together. What friends! How grateful I am to God for providing us with some of the dearest and most loyal people on the planet in this family! Through thick and through thin, from the youngest to the oldest, the challenges and the joys, the past to the present.
Ryan and Tabitha have also known EACH other for many, many years, and their relationship is founded on both a lasting friendship and a solid, united love for their Lord. “A cord of three strands is not easily broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:12. This relationship is woven tightly.
It’s hard to imagine that our babies have entered the world of adulthood, but it HAS been two decades. And they have! And love is what we experienced as we celebrated the engagement of this adorable couple. You can almost feel the rush of love between them as they gaze into each other’s eyes, and tickle each other with their noses, and catch a glance of one another from the side. They are a magical pair. So glad for the chance to document this exciting time for them.
We love you, Ryan and Tabitha, and we cannot wait for your wedding day in March 2017!
